Civics for Organizers
As we build our Neighborhood Assemblies, we know that many paths to change relate to government institutions and policy. By better understanding what is, we can look for opportunities for change.
Join us for a Civics 101 lesson focused on understanding these systems from this perspective. This intro level discussion will cover which types of decisions are made by which types of officials and which level of government and also will cover some opportunities and limitations with our referendum system in our region. Because this is a short introduction, part of the goal is to get people over the (understandable) hurdle of overwhelm and build our collective confidence that we can figure it out together.
